Come Sit Stay Pet Resorts meets all USDA requirements for boarding facilities, and one of the ways we do this is by requiring all pets staying with us to have up-to-date vaccination records on file. The required vaccinations for Dogs include Rabies, Distemper/Lepto/Parvo, and Bordetella. For Cats, Feline Distemper/Leukemia and Rabies is required. We Cannot Accept Your Pet For Boarding If We Do Not Have Up-To-Date Vaccination Records! Even if your Pet has had the vaccinations, if we do not have the records, we cannot accept your Pet into our facility. To ensure a hitch-free Check-In, we require vaccination records at least 72 hours before the date of your Check-In. We also request a hard copy of the vaccination at check-in.

Vaccinations should be given at least 2-5 days prior to visiting Come Sit Stay Pet Resorts for Boarding or Daycare. In particular, if you get a Bordetella intranasal vaccination we cannot allow your Dog into our facility for at least 24 hours.

Proof of your pet’s vaccination will not be kept on file. We require vaccination records to be emailed 72 hours in advance of your arrival to help simplify and speed up your Check-In.

Titres are accepted in lieu of vaccinations. Come Sit Stay Pet Resorts accepts Pets at twelve (12) weeks of age as long as they have at least two (2) series of their Bordetella and Distemper vaccinations.

For dogs:

  • Bordetella: Recommended every six months, required yearly.
  • Distemper: Initial puppy shots required, Booster thereafter every three years.
  • Leptospirosis: Required yearly
  • Rabies: At 16 weeks of age, thereafter as required by law.

For cats:

  • FVRCP: Following initial kitten shots, Booster every three years
  • Rabies: At 16 weeks of age, thereafter as required by law

While vaccinations are very helpful in preventing the spread of infectious disease, they do not provide 100 percent protection. Therefore, at Come Sit Stay Pet Resorts we do our very best to ensure that our facility is as sanitary as possible. We follow industry standard cleaning procedures and have a new facility that uses a state-of-the-art HVAC system to ensure proper ventilation. We also train our staff to be on the lookout for any signs of illness in any of the pets in our care.
